Hello from Friday.

Made it to the end of another week. Wednesday was a bit of a train wreck, and Thursday was very hectic. I hope that everything is just a hair calmer today as we lead into the weekend. Who knows what else could be in store for us weather wise. Freezing rain and sleet were not exactly requested but what can you do? I certainly can’t control the weather! I’d be worth trillions if I could, I promise you that.

I have worked lined up for ten days from now, which as a freelancer, is always a good thing. I love to know when the work is coming, and what it is likely to be. Very happy with the items I have coming. Retail displays, packaging research, and event audits abound! Means I’ll be working up until Christmas this year. That’s pretty good to know. As much as I love a quiet spell where I can tackle home repairs and DIY jobs, or spend some time building furniture of my own, paid work is where it’s at.

In another week or two we will put up the Christmas tree. Which always excites me, I love the way the house feels with lights and decorations displayed. Hang the stockings, decorate the tree, put up streamers and wintery themed knick-knacks. All very homey feeling. Makes the dull grey and white blandness of winter more bearable. We have dome musical dioramas that can get displayed for Christmas time aswell. As long as the island gets and remains uncluttered.

Not much else to report. I haven’t spent any more time on my illustrated childrens book. Not the writing, nor the Photoshop painted pages either. I very much want to complete it and post it here for anyone who cares to read it. At the moment I don’t know when that will be. If I recall I have eight to ten illustrations left to do.

I wonder if I will be as busy come January 2024 as I was this year? Hard to tell. Difficult to know.
