Lasting damages.

Pig Pen roof still open to the elements years after a storm blew it apart. (Fig 1.)

Several years ago a nearly province wide wind storm, or Jericho blew through almost 800 km of southern Ontario, from Sarnia to Montreal and we see the lasting effects of it every single day. Trees with their tops missing, entire swaths of forests knocked down, collapsed buildings, and the shattered remnants of things that used to be. It was a pretty wild weekend when it happened. The power went out for at least twenty seven hours. Which is pretty good considering the extent of the damages across the wind swept areas. A not so subtle reminder of how we simply cannot hold back the true force of mother nature. Act accordingly!
